Under Milk Wood: Live On Air ‘spliced’ physical comedy with the beauty of Thomas's poetry by dramatising his famous text through an imagined 1960s radio broadcast. It drew an inventive parallel between the lives, loves and losses of the people of Llareggub and three actors, including Betty the wayward Foley Artist, who struggle to create a piece of drama whilst riding their own emotional rollercoaster. Funny, refreshing and moving, Under Milk Wood played to sell-out houses in Bristol and the South-West in January-March 2011.
